Support brain injury and stroke survivors

When you support our Therapeutic Program, you offer brain injury survivors a ray of hope. Their lives, as they’ve known them, are over. They struggle to find a “new normal” and there is a gap in the continuum of care that leaves survivors with nowhere to turn. That is where Schurig Center comes in. We offer rehabilitative and therapeutic services and we help all survivors feel accepted and welcomed. We help all family members feel empowered and supported. And we offer scholarships so that we turn nobody away due to their inability to pay for services. That is where you come in! We must raise funds every year to cover the costs of our programs and services. Please help us help rebuild lives!

Paws For A Cause

Paws for a Cause is ALE for ALZ’s fall fundraiser helping to raise money for the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The event will be held on October 23rd 2016 held at Dubliner Irish Pub. Paw’s for a Cause’s main feature will be our first annual dog costume contest! In addition to the contest you will be able to grab a beer, enjoy exclusive event specials, and enter our raffle to win incredible prizes from Sea Dog Brewery, Kendra Scott, Downtown Dogs, and more!

As our events draw large crowds, we are expecting over 200 attendees with 50 dog costume entries. We also will reach over 20,000 people on Facebook!  With this amazing combination, our last event we raised $7,500 and this time we are hoping to raise more!

ALE for ALZ is a non-profit organization (501c3 approved) that raises dementia awareness and the much needed funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. We accomplish this by bringing our community together throughout the year and have good old fashioned fun!
